Free Teaching Assistant Level 2 Course in Newark. Classes run at Dukeries Campus, full-time during the day. Who this course is for

The Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools Level 2 programme will give you the core knowledge needed to take the first steps to working in a school. You will learn how to communicate effectively with children, young people and adults and gain an understanding of how children and young people develop. You will be aware of what to do in different situations when working within the school environment.

The Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools Level 3 programme will give you the core knowledge needed to take the first steps to working in a school. You will learn how to communicate effectively with children, young people and adults and gain understanding of how children and young people develop. It may also help you secure that all important Teaching Assistant job!

Entry requirements

You must be 19+ at the beginning of the academic year to enrol on this course and be a resident within the EU for 3 years+.

Assessment is through coursework and assignments that cover the knowledge and skills set out in the qualification. Your tutor will guide you through each topic across the 11-month programme.
