About this course

Free Teaching Assistant Level 2 Course in Catterick Garrison. Evening teaching assistant classes run at Catterick Library & Information Centre, so you can fit study around your existing commitments. Over 12 weeks, you'll cover the knowledge and skills needed to support pupils and staff in school and college settings. You'll have an initial assessment to make sure this is the right level for you. This is a free teaching assistant course for adults aged 19 and over; eligibility is confirmed at enrolment. NCFE Level 2 Award in Support Work in Schools and Colleges with certificate.

To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August in the current academic year and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at enrolment stage and may contact

How you will learn

Classes are delivered in person at Catterick Library & Information Centre on weekday evenings. Learning is classroom based, with group activities and tutor-led sessions. Assessment is through written assignments and portfolio evidence that you build up over the 12 weeks. There are no formal written exams.
