Free Teaching Assistant Course Level 1 in Newcastle upon Tyne. Classes run at Trinity Academy Newcastle, with most of your time spent on placement in a school. You'll spend three or four days a week working in a placement school, then come together one day a week for classroom sessions. This level 1 teaching assistant course takes one year full-time and gives you hands-on experience alongside qualified education staff. Who this course is for
You will gain real experience and knowledge of working as a teaching assistant or support staff, you will learn from highly skilled staff in a specialist training environment, the majority of time will be spent on placement with Trinity Academy or one of our partner schools. You will work either three or four days in your placement school, providing the best opportunity to learn from education proffessionals. Students will then come together one day per week at Trinity Academy to complete course work. This course could lead to progression to an apprenticeship programme or employment. This course may include Functional Skills or GCSE Maths and English depending on previous qualifications.
