Person Centred Counselling BSC (Hons) in Newhaven. Classes run at Newhaven Marine Workshop Campus, full-time over 30 weeks. This is a top-up degree for qualified counsellors who already hold a Level 5 Person-Centred, Humanistic or Integrative Counselling qualification and have completed at least 100 hours of supervised placement. You'll study professional practice and ethics, issues of diversity, and expressive and creative therapy, alongside a 60-credit project module. The course is validated by UEA and requires you to maintain BACP membership throughout. The fee is £8,250.

The BSc (Hons) Person-Centred Counselling (Top-up) is a fascinating and rewarding course which enables students to look more deeply into specific areas of interest in counselling. It is designed for qualified Person-Centred, Humanistic or Integrative counsellors who want to build on their understanding of the person-centred theory and practice across a range of therapeutic work and who are interested in critically examining and evaluating the necessity and sufficiency of person-centred therapeutic conditions. The course is also designed for those qualified counsellors who want to expand their understanding of professional practice and ethics and issues of diversity in counselling practice, and for those who want to include creative and expressive therapy in their practices.It runs as a one-year full time course, or a two year part-time course.
Entry requirements
A Level 5 qualification in Person-Centred, Humanistic or Integrative Counselling is required. You will also need to have completed 100 hours of supervised placement in a recognised counselling setting with at least half of these hours, face to face.

The 60-credit project module is assessed through a substantial piece of independent work. The three 20-credit modules are assessed through coursework. You'll also continue supervised placement hours alongside your studies.
