This programme is designed for those working within the beauty industry and who wish to extend their current skills to a higher level.
The following four units will be covered: Laser and light treatments for hair removal Laser and light treatments for skin rejuvenation Client care and communication in beauty-related industries Management of health, safety and security in the salon Practical techniques will be demonstrated by the tutor along with guidance and support with written, oral and practical work Practical assessments will be undertaken in the real working environment of the College salon Students will be expected to provide their own models for assessments You will be required to wear a salon uniform, which will be discussed at the interview. You will also need to purchase a folder/portfolio and writing material Practical, oral and written assessment along with a number of case studies built into a portfolio of evidence On successful completion students will be awarded four VTCT NVQ Level 4 units of accreditation
