About this course

Free Level 4 Dance Education Course in Chichester. Classes run at Chichester College, part-time during the day over two years.

The course prepares you to teach dance to a professional standard. You'll study teaching methods, choreography, and dance technique in your chosen style. To join, you need to be at least 17 years old and hold an Intermediate qualification in your chosen dance style. You'll also need five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and maths.

You'll finish with a Diploma in Dance Education at Level 4.

Who this course is for

This is a challenging Level 4 course designed for you if you are 17 years of age and have: 1) achieved the Level 3 DDI qualification and wish to complete your training in order to become a fully qualified and accredited ISTD dance teacher 2) wish to commence your training to become a fully qualified and accredited ISTD dance teacher. The DDE has been accredited by Ofqual at Level 4 on the QCF which is roughly equivalent to the level attained at first year degree level. Chichester College offer the DDE in Imperial Ballet Modern Theatre and Tap Dance.

Entry requirements

You must be at least 17 years of age and hold your Intermediate qualification in the area you wish to study. You must also have 5 GCSEs at 4 grade or above including English and mathematics.
