Free Level 3 Understanding Mental Health Course. Study online. You work through the course at your own pace, so it fits around your existing commitments. No previous experience or knowledge of mental health is required. Over six months, you'll cover the context of mental health and wellbeing, how to promote positive mental health, mental health problems and their consequences, and what working in mental health involves. This free understanding mental health course for adults is delivered entirely online through an e-assessment platform, with tutor feedback as you progress.
Who this course is for
Around 450 million people worldwide suffer from a mental health problem. Education and raising awareness of the impact can help tackle this challenge by increasing knowledge and understanding and reducing stigma. This qualification is designed to increase learners’ knowledge and understanding of mental health and mental well-being. Successful completion of the required units will allow the learner to develop in-depth knowledge and understanding of mental health. It will also support progression into relevant employment within the health and social care sector.

How you will learn
You'll receive a hard-copy learning pack containing all the theory and knowledge you need. Alongside this, you use an online platform called eAssessor to submit your answers. The course is divided into topics and sections. You submit each section to your assessor, who provides written feedback before you move on. All enrolment is completed online.
