About this course

Free BTEC National Extended Diploma in Sport in Bournemouth. Classes run at The Bourne Academy, full-time over two years.

The course covers sport science, coaching, fitness, anatomy, and the business side of sport. You'll study through classwork, practical sessions, and coaching work. Units include both coursework and exams. This Pearson Edexcel qualification is equivalent to three A-levels and gives you a strong grounding in the sport sector.

You'll need five or more GCSE grades at 4 or above, including English and Maths, with a grade 5 or above in English. You'll finish with a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport.

Who this course is for

The BTEC course is designed for people who have an interest in SPORT, coachiing and jobs within the sports industry. This course is mainly coursework based, but has elements of practical work and units. You will learn through classwork, practical lessons and coaching sessions. The Triple course is equivalent to 3 A-levels and the Single course is the equivalent to 1 A-level. Both qualifications are a 2 year course with new specifications. There will be 4 exams for Triple students and 2 exams for Single students

Five or more grades at 4+ in GCSE or equivalent, including English and Maths. A grade 5+ in English (Lang or Lit)
