Free Level 3 Plastering (Construction) Course in Rotherham. Classes run at Dearne Valley College, full-time during the day. This plastering (construction) qualification covers the skills and knowledge you need to work as a plasterer in the construction industry. You'll study for one year, developing practical techniques across solid plastering, fibrous plastering, and dry lining. The level 3 plastering course is a strong foundation for working on construction sites or setting up as a self-employed plasterer.

What you will learn
You'll apply solid plastering techniques to internal walls and ceilings.
You'll work with fibrous plasterwork, including casting and fixing.
You'll install dry lining systems, including partitions and ceilings.
You'll interpret construction drawings and specifications.
You'll follow health and safety requirements on construction sites.
You'll select and use the correct materials and tools for each plastering task.
You'll finish surfaces to the standard required for handover.
How you will learn
You'll learn through practical, hands-on sessions in a workshop environment alongside classroom-based study. Assessment includes practical tasks where you demonstrate plastering techniques to a set standard, as well as written or knowledge-based assessments. Your progress is assessed on an ongoing basis throughout the year, with evidence gathered into a portfolio of work.
