About this course

Diploma in Performing and Production Arts in Nottingham. Classes run at Nottingham College City Hub, full-time over two years. It's free if you're 16 to 18 years old. If you're 19 or over, fees may apply, though funding may be available.

The course covers rehearsing, acting, devising, voice work, movement, physical theatre, and character study. You'll also explore acting for TV and film, and directing. A work placement of 30 or more hours is encouraged alongside your studies. In Year 1 you complete 90 credits and earn a standalone qualification, then progress to Year 2 for the full Extended Diploma.

You'll finish with a Diploma in Performing and Production Arts awarded by University of the Arts London.

Entry requirements

You’ll need 5 GCSEs at grades 9 - 4 (A* - C), including English Language and Maths - both of these must be grades 9 - 4 (A* - C) or Functional Skills Level 2 in English and maths, or a relevant Level 2 vocational qualification with English and Maths GCSE grades 9 - 4 (A* - C).
