About this course

Free Level 3 Hairdressing for Cutting and Styling Technicians Course in Burton-on-Trent. Classes run at Burton Town Centre Campus. This full-time, daytime course builds on Level 2 hairdressing skills, taking your cutting, colouring, and creative styling to an advanced level. You'll work in the campus's commercial salon as a practising stylist, complete 37 hours of work experience in a local salon, and develop techniques through a partnership with Wella. The course takes one year.

Who this course is for

The course builds on the skills gained at Level 2 and further develops your creative abilities. You will learn about advanced techniques in cutting, colouring, creative styling and dressing hair. As part of the course, you will work in the Innovations commercial salon as a stylist and produce an avant-garde look for a photo shoot. You will also be given the opportunity to obtain relevant work experience in a realistic working environment.

Entry requirements

Minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above (if this does not include English and maths these MUST be studied as part of the Level 3 programme) or Level 2 Functional Skills equivalent in English and maths; successful interview and initial assessment; successful completion of Level 2 programme in (progressing learners).

You'll also have the opportunity to attend hairdressing shows and see demonstrations from international hairdressers.
