Free Level 2 Women's and Men's Hairdressing Course in Burton-on-Trent. Classes run full-time at Burton Town Centre Campus. This women's and men's hairdressing qualification covers cutting, blow-drying, setting, colouring, and perming, alongside theory units in health and safety, client care, communication, and retailing. You'll also complete 37 hours of industry experience. Entry requires a minimum of four GCSEs at grade D or above, or Level 1 Functional Skills in English and maths. The course takes one year.
Who this course is for
This course builds on the knowledge and skills gained at Level 1, covering all basic hairdressing services, including cutting, blow-drying, setting, colouring and perming. You will also study theory units, which include health and safety, client care and communication, retailing and reception duties.
Entry requirements
Minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grade D or above (if this does not include English and maths these MUST be studied as part of the Level 2 programme) or Level 1 Functional Skills equivalent in English and maths; successful interview and initial assessment; successful completion of Level 1 programme (progressing learners).
