About this course

Foundation Diploma in Art and Design Course in Hitchin. Classes run full-time at Hitchin Centre, five days a week during the day. No tuition fees apply if you're 16 to 18 years old. If you're 19 or over, fees may apply, though an Advanced Learner Loan may help.

You'll explore experimental approaches to art, graphic design, fashion, and large-scale installation work. The course includes work experience with creative organisations and takes part in live fashion shows and exhibitions. A portfolio interview is required for entry.

You'll finish with a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design, awarded by University of the Arts London.

Entry requirements

This is a post-18 one-year course. We will assess your suitability for the course at interview based on your portfolio of work. It is expected that you will have completed a level 3 art & design qualification or have significant industry experience. It will strengthen your application if you have achieved GCSE maths and English at grade C or above, or equivalent.
