Free Level 3 Entry to the Uniformed Services Course in Yeovil. Classes run at Yeovil College, full-time during the day.

The course builds knowledge of the uniformed public services and their role in society. You'll develop leadership, communication, and teamwork skills alongside subject knowledge. Topics include the structure and work of services such as the police, fire service, prison service, armed forces, and ambulance service. The course runs for around 180 hours of study. You'll need at least five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and maths, to join.

You'll finish with an NCFE Diploma for Entry to the Uniformed Services at Level 3.

Who this course is for

This course is designed to help identify and prepare you for university or a possible career in the Unformed Services, such as the Army, Royal Navy, Royal Marines, RAF, Police, Ambulance Services, Fire Service or Prison Service. The course will develop a thorough knowledge of the Uniformed Public Services and their role in society, as well as a range of transferable skills, such as leadership, communication and teamwork. It allows you to contribute towards and work effectively both as an individual and as part of a team.

You need at least five GCSEs at grade 9 - 4 including English and maths.
