About this course

Level 3 Electrical Installation Advanced Technical Diploma in Nottingham. Classes run at Nottingham College Highfields Campus, full-time during the day. Students aged 16 to 18 years old may not have to pay tuition fees. If you are 19 or over, you may still be eligible for funding. This City and Guilds electrical installation advanced technical diploma qualification covers electrical science, design and construction of electrical systems, fault diagnosis, regulations, and supervision. The course runs over one year and includes small group practical sessions alongside classroom study. You will also be encouraged to complete a 30-hour work placement.

This qualification is for you if you wish to work as an electrician in the building services industry.

Entry requirements

You will need a full level 2 Electrical Installation qualification, successful completion of a progression assessment and GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4 or higher. You must also have achieved of a minimum of 90% attendance at your last place of work or study. Adult learners who have relevant industry experience within this subject may be used instead of holding a Level 2 in Electrical Installation.
