About this course

Level 3 Education and Training Course in Liverpool. Evening classes run at Womens Technology And Education Centre, part-time over 11 weeks. The course may be fully funded depending on your circumstances, and fees may apply for others. This education and training qualification is designed for people who teach, train, or support learning in any setting, including further education, adult and community learning, and work-based learning. You'll explore teaching roles and responsibilities, planning and delivering sessions, and how to assess and give feedback to learners. You need to be 19 or over and have Level 2 Maths and English, or be working towards them. Entry is subject to a guidance interview and assessment.

Who this course is for

Formerly known as PTLLS, the Award in Education and Training is a short course designed to enable a wide range of students to undertake teaching, training or learning tasks relevant to their own training or teaching situation. It is recommended for all teachers new to the sector whether in further education, adult and community learning, work-based learning or other parts of the learning and skills sector.

Entry requirements

You will need to be 19+, have a Level 2 in Math’s and English or be working towards them.

Acceptance onto this course is subject to successful guidance interview & assessment test.

Classes are delivered in a classroom at Womens Technology And Education Centre on weekday evenings. You'll take part in taught sessions and group activities. Assessment includes written assignments and a micro-teach session where you plan and deliver a short lesson. You'll receive feedback on your teaching practice throughout the course.
