About this course

Level 3 Creative Media Course in Hitchin. Classes run at Hitchin Centre, full-time over two years. No tuition fees apply if you are 16 to 18 years old. If you are 19 or over, fees may apply, though an Advanced Learner Loan may help.

This creative media qualification covers production, technology, and creative practice across film, video, digital media, and design. You will work on real projects and take part in work experience with organisations such as the Royal Opera House and the National Youth Theatre. You will also contribute to exhibitions, installations, and collaborative creative projects.

You finish with a University of the Arts London Extended Diploma in Creative Media Production and Technology at Level 3.

Entry requirements

Four GCSEs at grade C or above including English; or, Four GSCEs at grade C or above, plus functional skills level 1 English; A level 2 qualification in a relevant subject area, passed with a merit or distinction grade - plus English GCSE grade C or above, or functional skills level 2 English.

How you will learn

You will learn through studio sessions, practical projects, and work experience placements. Assessment is mainly through a portfolio of work, project assignments, and practical tasks completed throughout the course. There are no written exams. You will build evidence of your skills across a range of briefs, including collaborative and industry-linked projects.
