Who this course is for

The Business Administration Apprenticeship reflects the ability to select and use relevant knowledge, ideas, skills and procedures to complete well-defined tasks and address straightforward problems. An Apprenticeship is a vocational, work-based programme that demonstrates competence and knowledge. In addition to the core Apprenticeship requirements, there are separate requirements which include, Maths, English, ICT, Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR) and Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS).

There are a number of NVQ units for the apprentice to select from some of which are listed below: Carry out your responsibilities at work - Work within your business environment - Use of I.T. systems and a variety of software applications - Supervise an office facility - Procure products and services - Manage and evaluate customer relations - Managing the payroll function - Completing year-end procedures - Monitor information systems - Plan and run projects. A wide range of clerical and administration skills are essential to support all these key activities from typing, word processing, computers and accounting to customer contact and sales recording.
