Free Level 3 BTEC National Extended Certificate in Sport Course in Wilmslow. Classes run at Wilmslow High School, full-time over two years.

This BTEC sport course covers sport science, anatomy and physiology, coaching, fitness training, and sports leadership. You explore sport both practically and academically. The course is equivalent in size to one A Level, so it sits alongside other Level 3 qualifications. Entry requires at least five GCSEs at grades 4 to 9, including English and Maths.

You'll finish with a Pearson Edexcel Level 3 BTEC National Extended Certificate in Sport.

Who this course is for

If you are intending to pursue health, fitness or sports-related occupations in the future such as recreation management, sports development, coaching, instructing or teaching, this course is for you. It allows you to explore sport both as a performer and academically and gives you the opportunity to study a work related qualification alongside other level 3 courses such as A levels or other BTEC qualifications. The equivalent of 1 A level, it will also give you transferable skills such as teamwork, leadership and resilience that are useful for a variety of careers and higher education courses.

Entry requirements

A minimum of 5 GCSEs, grades 4 - 9 (A* - C) including English and Maths.
