Free Level 3 BTEC National Certificate in Computing Course in Sandwich. Classes run at Sandwich Technology School, full-time during the day over two years. Computing is concerned with both computers and computer systems - how they work and how they are designed, constructed, and used. This course encompasses programming languages, data structures, algorithms, and the underlying science of information and computation. The influence of computing has been profound in shaping the world in which we now live with the use of technology almost universal among UK businesses.

While three units are mandatory, the fourth unit is can be selected from a range of option. These topics include: Digital Graphics and Animation, Mobile App Design, Website Development and Systems Analysis and Design. The selection of optional topic will be made based on cohorts.

Entry requirements

STS Sixth Form offers a broad range of A Level and Applied general qualifications that will prepare you for university or employment. To access this route, you will need to have at least 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and Math's; however, some subjects have specific entry criteria.

Additional Entry Requirements Grade 4 or above in Science.

Assessment is ongoing throughout the two years, with coursework tasks and written exams contributing to your final grade.
