About this course

Free Level 2 Beauty Therapy Studies Course in Tamworth. Classes run at Tamworth College. You'll need a minimum of 3 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, including English and maths, or a completed Level 1 Beauty Therapy qualification, to get started. This level 2 beauty therapy studies qualification covers the skills and treatments you need to work as a beauty therapist, whether employed or self-employed. Who this course is for

Our Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy is designed for those aged 16-19 who wish to pursue a career as an employed and/or self-employed beauty therapist and includes all the required elements to work effectively as a beauty therapist.

The course gives you the opportunity to learn new skills as you embark on your journey into the world of beauty therapy.

On successful completion of this course, you will have achieved the VTCT Skills Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy.

Entry requirements

To be accepted onto the course, you will need a minimum of 3 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, including English and maths, or to have completed Level 1 Beauty Therapy.

You will need to be an enthusiastic and dedicated learner who is passionate about the beauty industry, and willing to learn and try new skills.

  • You'll understand health, safety, and hygiene requirements in a beauty therapy environment.
  • You'll build knowledge of the products and equipment used across beauty treatments.

How you will learn

You'll learn through practical, hands-on sessions in a salon environment at Tamworth College, alongside classroom-based theory. Assessment combines practical observations, where an assessor watches you carry out treatments, with written assignments and knowledge tests. You'll build a portfolio of evidence as you progress through the course.
