Free Level 3 Beauty Therapy General Course in Barking and Dagenham. Classes run at Robert Clack School, full-time during the day, over one year. This beauty therapy general qualification builds on existing skills, adding electrical therapy treatments and holistic treatments to your practice. You'll work with paying clients throughout the year, applying treatments and developing your understanding of how each one affects the body and its systems. Entry is based on your average GCSE grade from Year 11.
Who this course is for
This is a skills based course which aims to develop students to a higher level of qualification in Beauty. It covers a wider variety of beauty therapy treatments and enables them to understand the effects each treatment has on the body and the body systems. Throughout the year students will be adding Electrical Therapy treatments and Holistic treatments to their existing qualifications and will once again be delivering these treatments to paying clients. Due to the advanced level of knowledge required to obtain a level 3 qualification, it is essential that students attend lessons regularly and show a willingness to work on clients during salon workshops and outside of the school hours.

All subjects have an average points score (APS) requirement; this is the average GCSE grade achieved in Year 11.

How you will learn
Learning is classroom-based and practical, combining hands-on treatment work with underpinning knowledge. You'll be assessed through practical observations of treatments carried out on clients, as well as written or oral assessments covering your knowledge of body systems and treatment effects. Assessment is ongoing throughout the year rather than through a single final exam.
