About this course

Free Level 2 Understanding Working with People with Mental Health Needs Course. Study online, at your own pace, in 12 weeks. The course covers the role of the mental health worker, mental health conditions and issues, duty of care in adult health and social care, and approaches to supporting people through change. There are no formal entry requirements. You'll complete five units and demonstrate your understanding through written assessments.

This qualification is designed for learners who want to develop their understanding of mental health and how to support individuals experiencing mental health problems. It is suitable for those working in, or interested in working in, health and social care or support roles where they may work with people with mental health needs.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. Learners must be aged 16 or over. It may be helpful for learners to have previously achieved a Level 1 or Level 2 qualification in a health or social care related area, but this is not essential.
