Free Level 2 Understanding Data Protection and Data Security Course. Study online, at a time that suits you, with no need to travel to a centre. You'll receive comprehensive learning materials and have access to an assessor throughout. The course covers data protection law, GDPR compliance, and how to handle personal data correctly at work. It takes around 12 weeks to complete. You'll need to be 19 or older on 31 August in the year you start, eligible to study in the UK, and have access to a computer and a stable internet connection.

You will need to be: aged 19 or older on 31 August in the year you wish to study be eligible to study in the UK, with 'in-date' evidence that shows that you will be resident in the UK for the duration of the course and not currently studying an apprenticeship programme You will also need access to a computer (laptop or desktop), and a stable internet connection, to access our interactive online learning platform.

How you will learn
You study entirely online using interactive learning materials. You'll complete a series of assessments within a set timeframe. A qualified assessor marks your work and supports you throughout the course. There are no exams to sit in person. Your completed assessments provide the evidence needed to meet the requirements for the NCFE Certificate.
