About this course

Free Level 2 Spectator Safety Course. Work-based training at your workplace.

You train while working in a stewarding role, building knowledge and skills on the job over around six months. The course covers the responsibilities of event stewards, crowd management, emergency procedures, and how to keep spectators safe. You must be 16 or over to enrol. A literacy and numeracy assessment takes place before you register.

You'll finish with a Highfield Certificate in Spectator Safety.

Who this course is for

This qualification is aimed at individuals who are required to have the knowledge, skills and understanding of the stewarding industry.

Entry requirements

Those learners undertaking the mandatory units only are required to be 16 years of age or above. Any learners undertaking the optional unit Application of Physical Intervention Skills in the Private Security Industry must be aged 18 and over prior to delivery.

Learners must have a suitable level of English skills.

Literacy and numeracy assessments will be undertaken prior to registration.

The centre will provide most materials. Pilot IMS will confirm anything else you need before you start.
