Free Level 2 Safeguarding and Prevent Course. Work-based training at your workplace. You study while you're in a job role, fitting learning around your work. The course takes around 12 weeks and covers safeguarding principles and the Prevent duty, giving you the knowledge employers in care, education, and community roles expect. The NCFE level 2 safeguarding and prevent qualification is recognised across sectors where protecting vulnerable people is part of the job.

What you will learn

You'll learn how to recognise signs of abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
You'll know the correct steps to take if you have a safeguarding concern.
You'll understand the Prevent duty and how it applies to your role.
You'll learn how to identify individuals who may be vulnerable to radicalisation.
You'll understand the legal frameworks and policies that underpin safeguarding practice.
How you will learn
Learning takes place in your workplace over 12 weeks. You'll work through written assignments and knowledge-based assessments that you complete alongside your job role. Assessment is through written questions and tasks that test your understanding of safeguarding and Prevent. Your employer supports your learning throughout.
