About this course

Free Level 2 Safeguarding and Prevent Course. Study online at your own pace, fitting learning around your existing commitments. This free safeguarding and prevent course covers how to recognise signs of abuse, how to reduce the risk of radicalisation, and the potential consequences of illegal online activity. It is open to adults aged 19 or over who have been resident in the EU for three or more years. The course takes around 115 hours to complete. You'll finish with an NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Safeguarding and Prevent.

Who this course is for

The purpose of this qualification is to support anyone who is responsible for the safeguarding of people and for helping prevent radicalisation. It gives learners an understanding of recognising the signs of abuse, how to reduce the risk of radicalisation, and the potential consequences of illegal online activity.

Entry requirements

You must be 19+ at the beginning of the academic year to enrol on this course and be a resident within the EU for 3 years+.

How you will learn

You study entirely online, working through course materials at your own pace. Assessment is through written assignments or knowledge-based tasks that you complete and submit online. There are no exams to sit in person. You can log in and study whenever suits you, making it straightforward to fit the level 2 safeguarding and prevent qualification around work, family, or other commitments.
