Free Level 2 Mental Health First Aid Course. Study online. You can work through the course at your own pace, fitting study around your existing commitments. Over 8 weeks, you'll build an understanding of mental health conditions, how to support colleagues experiencing mental health problems, and how to apply mental health first aid principles in the workplace. There are no formal entry requirements. This free mental health first aid qualification is funded through the Adult Skills Fund and open to eligible adults.
Who this course is for
Around 450 million people currently experience mental health problems, with recent reports suggesting that over 12 million working days are lost due to work-related stress, depression or anxiety in just one year. It’s important that employers are transparent and open about mental health issues and this qualification builds an understanding of mental health problems and the support available to colleagues. Increasing the understanding of mental health of staff at all levels builds a culture of care and support.

The course is delivered online with weekly sessions. You'll study through online materials and attend regular virtual meetings.
