About this course

Free Level 2 Makeup Artist Course in Gateshead. Classes run at Gateshead College Baltic Campus, full-time during the day over one year. The course is free if you're 16 to 18 years old. If you're 19 or over, free tuition may be available depending on your circumstances.

You'll study the principles of makeup artistry, anatomy and physiology, and a wide range of practical techniques used in the beauty and media makeup industry. The course covers the specialist skills and technical knowledge employers look for. You'll need four GCSEs at grade A* to D, including Maths at grade C or above, to apply.

You'll finish with a City and Guilds Technical Certificate in Make-up Artistry at Level 2.

Who this course is for

This level 2 technical certificate in make-up artistry aims to provide you with a range of specialist practical skills and technical knowledge, which will help you seek employment or further training within media make-up industry.

This qualification covers a very wide range of skills and knowledge required for working in the beauty industry.
