Free Level 2 Health and Care Course in Basildon. Classes run at TCHC Basildon GAPS Centre, full-time during the day. This free health and care qualification is open to young people aged 16 to 18 years old, and to those aged 16 to 24 years old who have a current Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The course covers communication in health and social care, person-centred approaches, dementia awareness, safeguarding, care of the elderly, and planning a healthy diet. English and maths Functional Skills are also included. The course runs for 306 hours.

Young people aged 16-18 (and 16-24 with an EHCP) who would like to gain a qualification in Health & Care.

How you will learn
You'll learn through classroom-based sessions at the centre. Learning is supported by personal and social development sessions, employability sessions, and the opportunity to take part in work experience. There is also a focus on mental wellbeing and fundamental British values. Assessment methods will be confirmed by the centre before you start.
