You'll practise blow-drying, setting, and finishing styles.

You'll understand health, safety, and hygiene in a salon environment.
You'll learn how to shampoo, condition, and treat the hair and scalp.
How you will learn
You'll learn through practical salon sessions and classroom-based study at Halesowen College. Assessment combines practical observations, where an assessor watches you carry out treatments, with written or online knowledge tests. You'll build a portfolio of evidence as you progress through the course. Some units are assessed by your tutor during live client work in the college's training salon.
