About this course

Free GCSE (9-1) in Maths Course in Stoke-on-Trent. Classes run at Biddulph Sixth Form. This course is for students who did not achieve a grade 4 or above in GCSE Maths. You study full-time during the day alongside your other subjects. The course takes one year. You'll work toward the OCR level 2 GCSE (9-1) in maths qualification, targeting grade 4 or above. A grade 4 is the standard many employers and further education providers ask for.

Who this course is for

For students who have not achieved GCSE English Language and / or GCSE Maths it is compulsory to continue studying these subjects alongside their new subject choices until a grade 4 at GCSE level is achieved. According to their GCSE results, students will begin and complete a programme of study including resit GCSE options and the use of functional skills to build confidence towards achieving the GCSE grade 4.

Your teacher will use regular classwork and practice papers to track your progress throughout the year.
