Free Level 2 Diploma Plumbing Course in Leeds. Classes run at Leeds College of Building, part-time during the day, over 36 weeks. You'll cover the science behind plumbing and heating, including heat transfer, pressure and forces, alongside the environmental impact of plumbing systems. Practical work includes installing bathrooms, heating systems and waste sanitation, cutting and soldering copper pipe, and joining plastic pipe. You'll have an assessment before you start, and if you're 19 or over, an assessment only. A Level 1 Diploma or equivalent Building Services Engineering qualification is desirable but not required.

Entry requirements
If you are aged 16-18 you will complete an assessment and attend an interview. If you are aged 19 and over you will complete an assessment. It is desirable that you have a Level 1 Diploma or an equivalent Building Services Engineering qualification.

How you will learn
You'll learn through classroom-based sessions at Leeds College of Building, combining theory with practical skills. Assessment covers both your knowledge of plumbing science and your ability to carry out practical tasks. Before the course begins, you'll complete an assessment. If you're 16 to 18 years old, you'll also attend an interview. The centre will use the assessment to confirm the course is the right level for you.
