Free Level 2 Diploma Electrical Installations Course in Oswestry. Classes run at North Shropshire College, full-time during the day. You'll spend most of your time in the electrical workshop, practising the installation of wiring systems alongside the theory behind them. The course takes one year. To start, you'll need at least four GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and maths, or a Level 1 Electrical qualification with good progress in English and maths.
Who this course is for
This Level 2 course allows you to gain the knowledge and specialist craft skills of electrical installation in a workshop environment. Your practice and assessment on the installation of wiring systems, together with the relevant theory of electrical installation, will prepare you for progression into the electrical industry, further study or an apprenticeship. You will spend most of your time working hands-on in the electrical workshop, but the course also covers essential theoretical aspects.
Entry requirements
A minimum of four GSCEs at grade 4, including English and maths or successful completion of the Level 1 Electrical qualification and good progress with English and maths. Applicants without suitable practical experience may be advised to commence study at Level 1.
