About this course

Free Level 2 Digital and IT Skills Course. Study online at your own pace, fitting learning around your life.

The course is for adults aged 19 or over. You'll study over 12 weeks, covering practical digital skills that employers look for. Topics include cybersecurity, digital safety, and core IT skills used in everyday work. You'll also develop the confidence to use digital tools in office and admin settings.

You'll finish with a Gateway Qualifications Certificate in Digital and IT Skills.

Entry requirements

  • English: Level 1 (Reading and Writing)
  • IT: Basic Skills
  • Please bring your prior qualification certificates with you to your first Assessment meeting.

How you will learn

You'll study online through practical tasks and activities. Learning is self-paced, so you work through the material at a speed that suits you. Assessment is based on the work you complete during the course. You'll need Level 1 English and Level 1 IT before you start. If you don't have certificates to show this, you'll complete a short assessment at your first meeting.
