About this course

Free Level 2 Computer Course. Study online, fitting your learning around work, family, or other commitments.

The course runs for around 10 weeks and covers digital safety, cybersecurity threats, and how to protect IT systems and data. You'll explore the tools and techniques used to keep users safe online. The course is for adults aged 19 or over. You'll need Level 1 English and Level 1 IT before you start.

You'll finish with a Level 2 Award in Digital and IT Skills.

Entry requirements

  • English: Level 1 (Functional Skills, GCSE, ESOL or equivalent)
  • IT: Level 1
  • Please bring your prior qualification certificates with you to your first Assessment meeting.

How you will learn

You'll study entirely online, working through tasks and activities at your own pace. Learning is structured around daytime or evening sessions, giving you flexibility to choose what suits you. Assessment is based on the work you complete during the course. Before you start, you'll attend a short assessment meeting to confirm your English and IT level.

What you will need to bring

Bring your prior qualification certificates to your first assessment meeting. If you don't have them, you'll complete a short English and IT assessment instead. Elatt will confirm anything else you need before you start.
