Who this course is for
Our Principles of Dementia Care course is suitable for those who care for people with dementia. The most common cause of disability in later life is dementia and to provide the best care, it is imperative to understand the condition. You will learn about dementia-related approaches and how to interact and behave with people with dementia, as well as how to communicate effectively with them. If you work in a Health and Social Care setting this course will help you achieve Standard 9 in the Care Certificate - Awareness of mental health, dementia and learning disabilities.
Entry requirements
Aged 19+ as of 31st August 2024. Lived in the EU for 3 years. Available fully funded. Do not hold the same qualification.

You'll study entirely online, working through course materials at your own pace. Assessment is carried out online. CT Skills will confirm the specific assessment methods before you start. You do not need to attend a classroom or travel to a centre.
