Level 2 Dementia Awareness Course in Shrewsbury. Classes run at SBC Training over two days, full-time during the daytime. This course is funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and is free to Shropshire employees. If you're not employed in Shropshire, fees may apply. The course covers four units and suits those new to care, returning to care, or anyone who supports people living with dementia in any setting. You'll build a full understanding of dementia and how to provide effective help and support.

Who this course is for

This is an accredited course which covers 4 units and is suitable for those new to care, returning to care or require a full understanding of dementia. It is also a valuable qualification for those who come into contact with people who suffer from dementia during the course of their daily life and want to develop an understanding which helps when providing help and support..

What you will learn

How you will learn

Learning takes place in the classroom over two full days. You'll be assessed through written assignments or knowledge-based tasks covering the four units of the qualification. Assessment is set by City and Guilds and marked to confirm you've met the requirements of the Award.
