About this course

Free Level 2 Computer Course in London. Classes run at The Hive London, part-time over two weeks during the day.

The course covers two core units. You'll develop your skills in word-processing software, learning to create professional documents accurately and efficiently. You'll also study presentation software, including how to design accessible presentations for different audiences. The course is free for adults aged 19 or over who are unemployed or on a low income and live in London. Additional eligibility criteria apply.

You'll finish with a Gateway Qualifications Level 2 Award in Digital and IT Skills.

Who this course is for

This qualification is for people who want to build on their digital skills. This will help prepare you for employment in different roles in a range of different sectors.

Entry requirements

To join this course, you must: live in London, have the right to live and work in the UK, be 19 years old or older as of 31 August 2026, not be in full-time education, not be on a student visa, skilled worker, or sponsored visa, and be unemployed or low income (earning below £28,860 per annum).

How you will learn

You'll learn in a classroom at The Hive London. Week one runs Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 3:30pm. Week two runs Monday and Tuesday 9:30am to 3:30pm, and Wednesday 9:30am to 5pm. Assessment is unit-based, covering word processing and presentation software tasks completed during the course.
