About this course

Free Level 2 Coding Course. Study online. You can log in and study whenever suits you, so the course fits around work, family, or other commitments. Over 12 weeks, you'll build a solid understanding of how code works, covering the fundamental principles and practices behind the apps, websites, and platforms we use every day. Assessment is done through an online portfolio, and you'll get written feedback from an assigned assessor. This free coding course for adults is open to anyone aged 19 or over who is eligible to study in the UK.

Entry requirements

You will need to be:

aged 19 or older on 31 August in the year you wish to study be eligible to study in the UK, with 'in-date' evidence that shows that you will be resident in the UK for the duration of the course and not currently studying an apprenticeship programme

You will also need access to a computer (laptop or desktop), and a stable internet connection, to access our interactive online learning platform.

What you will learn

  • You'll build a foundation for further study in digital and tech subjects.

How you will learn

You'll study through an interactive online learning platform, available at any time. Assessment is by an online portfolio of evidence, which includes written tasks and essay-style questions. An assessor will mark your work and give you written feedback throughout the course.

You'll need a laptop or desktop computer and a stable internet connection to access the online learning platform. West London College will confirm anything else you need before you start.
