Free Level 2 Car Mechanic Course in Newark. Classes run full-time during the day at Dukeries Campus. You must be 19 or over at the start of the academic year and have been a resident in the EU for at least three years to enrol. This free car mechanic course covers both the theory and practical skills used in today's motor vehicle repair industry. You'll study engine systems, electrical components, and health and safety in a garage environment. The course runs for 11 months.

Who this course is for

The programme of our Vehicle Maintenance courses involves learners studying both the theory and practical aspects of the essential knowledge and skills required by today's motor vehicle repair industry. Learners also gain a broad knowledge and understanding of health and safety in the workplace and other skills associated with working in a garage.

Our Cycle Maintenance course offers learners practical study of all aspects of maintenance and repair, including completing a cycle check, puncture repairs, removal and replacement of gear assembly, rim brake assembly, hub bearings, bottom brackets, cranks and gear systems, building a cycle wheel, preparing frames and forks, augmenting a cycle, changing a cycle frame, and servicing headset assemblies.
