Level 2 Car Mechanic Course in Loughborough. Classes run at Main Campus, full-time during the day. The course is free if you're 16 to 18 years old. If you're 19 or over, fees may apply depending on your eligibility. You'll need four GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and maths. The course covers both the theory and practical side of vehicle maintenance and repair, from engine and lubrication systems to braking, suspension, and body electrics. It takes one year to complete.
Who this course is for
This course is aimed at anybody interested in learning about the full range
of routine vehicle fitting procedures. It provides essential knowledge and
skills for vehicle mechanics working on a variety of vehicles.
It covers both theoretical and practical aspects of vehicle maintenance and
repair, with assessments consisting of practical demonstration, written
assignments, and online tests. The course focuses on employability skills to aid
your progression.
As part of the course, we will provide overalls, safety boots and safety
glasses.
There is a course fee of £50 for all learning materials, including
