Free Level 2 Car Mechanic Course in Hereford. Classes run full-time at Herefordshire College, five days a week during the day. The course builds on Level 1 motor vehicle knowledge, developing your practical skills in removing and refitting a full range of vehicle components. You'll work in the college workshops using specialist tools and equipment. The course takes one year to complete. To join, you'll need at least four GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including English and maths, or a Level 1 Motor Vehicle qualification with good progress in English and maths.
Who this course is for
This Level 2 course is designed to further develop the practical skills and theoretical understanding of vehicle and systems, building on what was learned at Level 1. The focus of this course is on the skills and understanding associated with the removal and re-fitting of a full range of vehicle components. You’ll further develop your skills in our fantastic workshops, using a range of more complex tools and specialist equipment, under the guidance of our expert staff, all of whom have extensive industrial experience in the vehicle repair sector.
Entry requirements
A minimum of four GSCEs at grade 3, including English and maths or successful completion of the Level 1 Motor Vehicle qualification and good progress with English and maths. Applicants without suitable practical experience may be advised to commence study at Level 1.
