Free Level 2 Bullying in Children and Young People Course in Pickering. Classes run at Atmosphere Centre for Young People, in the evenings so you can fit study around your existing commitments. Over six months, you'll build your understanding of bullying, its impact on children and young people, and how to respond to it. This bullying in children and young people qualification suits those expanding their knowledge for a support role or for personal reasons. You'll have an initial assessment to confirm the course is the right fit for you.

Entry requirements
You must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August in the current academic year and not be an apprentice, further eligibility maybe linked to where you live and we will check that at enrolment. If this is the first qualification you are undertaking as part of the Supporting Teaching and Learning suite, you will be required to attend the introductory course Starting my career working in schools, be working towards your Level 1 in maths and English and have basic IT skills if not already achieved.

You'll learn how bullying affects the wellbeing and development of children and young people.
You'll identify signs that a child or young person may be experiencing bullying.
You'll understand the roles and responsibilities of those working with or supporting young people.
You'll explore strategies and approaches used to prevent and respond to bullying.
How you will learn
Classes are delivered in a classroom setting at Atmosphere Centre for Young People on evenings across six months. Assessment is through written assignments or knowledge-based tasks that you complete as part of the course. Your work is assessed against the TQUK qualification requirements.

The centre will provide most materials. Atmosphere Centre for Young People will confirm anything else you need before you start.
