About this course

Free Level 2 Bullying in Children and Young People Course in Selby. Classes run at Selby Adult Learning and Skills Service, part-time during the day, making it manageable alongside other commitments. Over six months, you'll build a solid understanding of how bullying affects children and young people, including how to recognise it and how to respond. This bullying in children and young people qualification is relevant whether you work with young people or want to support them in a family or community setting.

This qualification is aimed at learners who are looking to expand their knowledge in this area whether to support family or as additional professional development in your area of employment.

Entry requirements

You must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August in the current academic year and not be an apprentice, further eligibility maybe linked to where you live and we will check that at enrolment. If this is the first qualification you are undertaking as part of the Supporting Teaching and Learning suite, you will be required to attend the introductory course Starting my career working in schools, be working towards your Level 1 in maths and English and have basic IT skills if not already achieved.

  • You'll consider the impact of online and cyberbullying on young people.

How you will learn

You'll attend classroom-based sessions at Selby Adult Learning and Skills Service. Learning is delivered face to face, with tutor-led discussion and guided study. Assessment is through written assignments or portfolio evidence that you build up over the course. There are no formal exams.

The centre will provide most materials. Selby Adult Learning and Skills Service will confirm anything else you need before you start.
