Free Level 2 Bricklaying Course in Keighley. Classes run at Keighley College, full-time during the day. This level 2 bricklaying qualification covers the core skills of the trade, from laying bricks and blocks to reading construction drawings. The course takes one year to complete. You'll need three GCSEs at Grade 3 or above, including English and maths. If you're under 19 and don't yet have English or maths at Grade 4 or above, you'll study GCSE or Functional Skills alongside the main course.
Who this course is for
Our qualification is aimed at people wanting to learn skills in bricklaying, to progress on to becoming skilled in their chosen trade, or to progress through an apprenticeship and work towards becoming a fully qualified bricklayer.
Entry requirements
3 GCSEs at Grade 3 or above to include English and maths. Students who do not
meet the entry requirements will be given consideration for a relevant
vocational qualification.
If you are under 19 and you do not already have English & Maths GCSE
grades 4-9 or equivalent you will be required to undertake GCSE or Functional
Skills alongside your main qualification.

How you will learn
You'll learn through a mix of practical workshop sessions and classroom-based theory. Practical work takes place in a realistic training environment where you build and construct using industry tools and materials. Assessment includes practical tasks, written assignments, and knowledge tests. Your progress is assessed throughout the course rather than through a single final exam.
