Free Level 2 Beauty Therapy Course in Consett. Classes run at Derwentside College, full-time during the day, over 36 weeks. You'll cover manicure, pedicure, make-up, waxing, eye treatments, and anatomy and physiology. You'll also get hands-on experience working on paying clients in the college's Health Spa. Entry requires 4 GCSEs at grade 3 or above (or a Level 1 in Beauty Therapy), an interview with the course leader, and an initial assessment. You must be willing to give and receive all treatments and commit to full attendance.
Who this course is for
This is the perfect course for those wanting to study the basic beauty therapy skills, including manicure, pedicure, make-up, waxing, eye treatments, anatomy and physiology and reception. You will have the opportunity to work on paying clients in the colleges Health Spa. The college organises various trips to Beauty exhibitions which is optional for you to attend (costs to be incurred). You will also have the chance to enter make-up competitions and showcase your skills against other colleges regionally and nationally.
