Free Level 2 Art and Design Course in Bradford. Classes run at Bradford College David Hockney Building, full-time during the day. The course runs for one academic year and covers the core principles of art and design, alongside employability skills linked to the creative industries. You'll work across six topics including formal elements of art, print, 3D work, and design crafts. There are no entry requirements beyond an interest in the subject and a commitment to attend.
Who this course is for
This introductory qualification is designed for learners who may be ready to progress quickly to further study, the Award offers a basic introduction to the principles of art and provides learners with the opportunity to develop generic, transferable and sector-specific skills related to the creative industries in order for them to progress to further learning. We also offer an optional two night residential in the Lake District where you can participate in the outdoor pursuits, such as hill walking, open canoeing and ghyll scrambling or the arts, such as botanical drawing, landscape photography and mindfulness in nature.

How you will learn
You'll learn through practical workshops, presentations, and independent research. Visits and guest speakers are part of the programme. There is also an optional two-night residential in the Lake District, which includes outdoor activities and arts-based sessions such as botanical drawing and landscape photography. Assessment is through your coursework and project work completed during the year.
