Free Level 1 Photography Course in Boston. Evening photography classes run at Boston College, one night a week from 6pm to 8pm. The course takes 5 months to complete part-time, so you can fit study around work or other commitments. You'll start by getting to grips with your camera settings and functions, then move into portrait and landscape photography. Classes take place in a fully equipped studio, with access to a darkroom for traditional techniques and a computer suite for digital editing. There are no formal entry requirements, though you'll need your own Digital SLR camera.
Who this course is for
The Level 1 Photography Award is aimed at those who have an interest in photography and are looking to advance their basic skills to improve their finished images. Within the course, you will first look at developing your understanding of your camera, its settings and its many capabilities. You will then experiment with your image taking, looking at portrait and landscape photography as a starting point. You will achieve a Level 1 qualification in photography, which will allow you to progress to Level 2 courses in the future.
