Level 1 Nutrition and Health Course in Hastings. Classes run at East Sussex College Hastings Station Plaza Campus, part-time during the day. The course runs over 5 weeks, making it manageable alongside other commitments. You'll build understanding of healthy eating, hydration, food choices, and how to plan a balanced diet for yourself and others. The course also covers eating disorders and the links between food and feelings.

This qualification is designed for learners looking to improve their understanding of nutrition and health.This qualification aims to: -develop learners' understanding of the importance of eating healthily and maintaining hydration -develop learners' understanding of food choices and how to make healthy choices -help learners plan a healthy diet for self and others -increase understanding of eating disorders, the connections between food and feelings and ways to seek help and support.Please note: If you are unemployed/in receipt of eligible benefits or in receipt of a low wage (less than �25,750 annual gross salary) you should be eligible to take this course for free. How you will learn
You'll learn through classroom-based sessions at the Hastings campus. Teaching covers nutrition knowledge, food planning, and health topics through tutor-led discussion and activities. Assessment is based on the requirements of the NCFE Level 1 Award in Nutrition and Health. The centre will confirm the specific assessment methods when you enrol.
